1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or engaging Matt Goodwin Landscaping (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services Provided

We provide residential and commercial landscaping and snow management services including but not limited to:

  • Weekly lawn maintenance

  • Spring and fall cleanups

  • Mulch installation

  • Plant installation

  • Trimming and pruning

  • Gutter cleaning

  • Aeration and overseeding

  • Sod installation

  • Bed maintenance

  • Seasonal flower installation

  • Snow plowing, shoveling, salting, and ice management

All services are subject to availability and weather conditions.

3. Estimates & Proposals

  • All estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Pricing may vary if site conditions differ from what was originally assessed.

  • Additional work requested beyond the original scope will be billed separately.

  • Signed proposals or written approval (including email/text confirmation) constitute acceptance of services and pricing.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment is due upon receipt unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

  • Late payments may incur a late fee of 5% per month (or maximum allowed by law).

  • We reserve the right to suspend services for overdue accounts.

  • Clients are responsible for all collection costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees.

5. Seasonal Contracts

  • Seasonal maintenance contracts outline services, frequency, and payment structure.

  • Early termination of a contract may result in prorated billing for services already performed at non-discounted rates.

  • Promotional discounts (such as seasonal contract discounts) apply only if the agreement is fulfilled in full.

6. Snow & Ice Management

  • Snow services are performed based on trigger depths outlined in your agreement.

  • During severe storms, multiple visits may be required and billed accordingly.

  • Ice management products (salt, calcium) are applied at our discretion based on safety conditions.

  • While we take reasonable steps to reduce slip hazards, we do not guarantee completely ice-free surfaces.

  • Clients are responsible for marking property hazards (curbs, drains, irrigation heads, etc.).

7. Property Conditions & Liability

  • Clients must clearly mark sprinkler heads, invisible fences, landscape lighting, and other hidden obstacles.

  • We are not responsible for damage to unmarked or concealed items.

  • Lawn and plant health depend on proper watering, drainage, soil conditions, weather, and pest factors beyond our control.

  • We are not liable for damage caused by acts of nature, extreme weather, or pre-existing site conditions.

8. Access to Property

Clients must provide clear and safe access to the property on scheduled service days. This includes:

  • Securing pets

  • Unlocking gates

  • Removing vehicles from driveways (for snow service)

  • Clearing excessive debris or obstructions

If access is not provided, the visit may still be billed.

9. Cancellations

  • Maintenance clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel a scheduled visit.

  • One-time service cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.

10. Warranties

  • Plant material warranties (if offered) must follow watering and care guidelines provided by us.

  • Warranty does not cover neglect, improper watering, animal damage, extreme weather, or third-party damage.

  • Labor warranties are limited to workmanship only.

11. Website Use

  • All content on this website is the property of Matt Goodwin Landscaping.

  • Unauthorized reproduction or use of images, text, or branding is prohibited.

  • We are not responsible for third-party links or external websites.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matt Goodwin Landscaping shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from services performed.

Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Updates will be posted on this page.
